Get the Look - Project ‘Five’s a Vibe’
Meet project ‘Five’s a Vibe’. We recently had the pleasure of designing a home that perfectly balances style and function for a young family of five. At the heart of the project is a timeless kitchen that’s beautifully tailored to be as warm and inviting as it is functional. We also created a luxurious primary bathroom retreat, thoughtfully designed for our clients to feel like they’re stepping into a (much deserved) relaxing getaway at the end of each busy day.
In this blog, you’ll discover an exciting before and after gallery, details behind our design, tips and tricks plus, links to some beautifully timeless styling accessories!
Happy reading!
There’s something so special about designing a space that a family will grow into. In the kitchen we kept things timeless with classic white shaker cabinets and rich wood tones on the island, to bring that cozy warmth. We also gave the layout a thoughtful tweak to improve flow and functionality.
Featured Materials:
Mirragio Duo quartz countertops from MSI
White oak Provenza LVP flooring
Honey bronze Kara pulls from Top Knobs
In addition to saying goodbye to that awkward corner sink (you know the one—crammed into the corner), we also removed the windows on the left wall. That change created a world of possibilities! With the extra wall space, we were able to add much-needed cabinetry and shift the range off the island. Now it lives on the back wall, topped with a beautiful custom hood that instantly became a focal point.
Design tips:
Mix pulls and knobs to add visual interest and a designer feel.
Take your cabinets to the ceiling, it’ll make your kitchen feel twice as big!
Paint your walls the same color as your cabinetry for a seamless look.
For a timeless vibe, choose a neutral palette and warm wood tones.
Add a dash of tradition with a vintage-inspired still life painting and beautiful runner.
TIMELESS KITCHEN DECOR
Next up, the gorgeous primary bathroom that proves modern and traditional design can be best friends…
When we first shared the rendering of this primary bathroom on Instagram it became our most liked photo EVER! It must have been something about the timeless checkerboard floor (this has literally been in style for thousands of years!), arched vanity niche and organic spa-like feel.
LUXE BATHROOM ACCESSORIES
We kept the same layout but made some BIG changes. First, we lightened up the entire space, from the paint color on the wall to the tile in the shower, the bathroom now has a bright and airy feel, ideal for relaxation.
We brought softness and drama into the space by adding a beautiful archway over the vanity—because who doesn’t love a little architectural flair? Paired with a showstopping mirror, it turned the getting-ready zone into a total showstopper that grabs your attention the moment you walk in.
From there, we layered in rich textures, modern finishes, and warm wood tones to create a space that feels like a spa-worthy retreat. And let’s not forget the freestanding tub that’s practically begging for a candlelit soak.
For both an added modern touch and continuity, we continued the archway over to the bathtub niche. It creates a luxurious way to stash toiletries and display some thoughtful personal touches.

Bathroom Styling Design Tips:
Don’t forget home decor like picture frames, art and vases. This will transform your bathroom from a purely functional space into one that feels warm, inviting, and personal.
You deserve more than old scratchy bath towels, upgrade to oversized plush towels to instantly elevate the entire vibe.
Add a chic side table next to your free-standing tub for an easy-to-reach place to rest your glass of wine, candle, phone etc. while you soak.
As we mentioned, you simply cannot go wrong with a classic checkerboard tile layout - it’s timeless and effortlessly elevated.
Thanks for reading! We hope you loved learning about this project as much as we enjoyed designing it.
