Sofia Callaway

design assistant

Growing up in Dallas TX, Sofia was immersed in the arts from a young age. She would attend after-school art programs and in the summers, art camp was something she always looked forward to. As a teen, her passion for designing spaces blossomed and she enjoyed playing with programs like the PB Teen Room Builder and Sims where she could experiment with room design.

When it came time for college, Sofia knew she wanted to go to school in California. Her parents traveled there often for work and over the years she had accompanied them on many trips and had fallen in love with the energy, scenery, and lifestyle. Sofia attended SDSU where she continued to foster her creative side and reinstated the ASID chapter on campus, continued taking drawing classes, interned for an architecture firm, and even gained experience in set design. She also had the opportunity to travel abroad every summer which further ignited her passion for design.

Sofia graduated in 2023 with an Interdisciplinary Degree in Interior Architecture, Spanish & Sustainable Tourism. She believes that “well designed spaces free your mind to think about things beyond your space” and is excited to work on the residential side of design to help people create spaces that inspire them.

In her spare time Sofia enjoys doing yoga, going hiking, drawing and painting.
